"I am influenced by what I see in the natural world and what we as human beings see around us in the world as we know it.  My intention is to provoke thought and introspection.  My concepts are simple yet profound, open and intuitive" - Lars Turin

Artist Statement:

I started my artistic journey as a child in kindergarten. I thought that my work was the best that has ever been seen. I always had to have the artistic experience in my in academic program. I remember telling my high school guidance councilor that I had to have art in my schedule; I didn’t care if that meant that I would not have any study halls.

I finished High School focusing on Art, as much as I could get. I then entered the college scene as an Art Education Major and found a home in the Fine Arts Program. I finished my in Fine Arts Degree with a concentration in Ceramics from SUNY New Paltz in 1971 with certification in Art Education. I devoted my next thirty-five years to education and the development of the next generation of artists and students of the arts. It has been the most rewarding experience of my life.

Now it is my turn to become the artist that I have always wanted to be.
